'Snickers Game' excerpt and other book coverage
My book excerpt about Ken Caminiti's most legendary performance appeared in print for the San Diego Union-Tribune.
There’s something special about seeing your story in print.
And especially this story in this publication.
The San Diego Union-Tribune — which has contributed some of the most meaningful coverage of Ken Caminiti’s life and career — ran my book excerpt in print Tuesday detailing the infamous “Snickers Game” when Ken, battling food poisoning, received IV fluids, scarfed down a Snickers bar, then went out and slugged two home runs against the Mets.

I also spoke to Houston Public Media’s “Houston Matters” program, diving into Ken’s time with the Houston Astros, the special player he was, and the bonds he had with his teammates and the community.
Another interview I wanted to note was my conversation with Mike Sommer and WaxPackHero podcast. It was great chatting about Ken, and baseball cards, and the long journey to bringing this book forward.
